Biography
Michelle Hruska, MPAS, PA-C, is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the John Sealy School of Medicine. She began her medical and academic pursuits while serving her country as a Navy Hospital Corpsman in both the active and reserve forces. After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Biological Psychology (Neuroscience) from The College of William and Mary, she decided to pursue a graduate degree. She chose the Physician Assistant Studies master's program at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and she is a proud UTMB MPAS alumnus, class of 2008. With her extensive clinical background in practicing emergency medicine and urgent care and with years of direct patient care in critical care, maternal-child medicine, psychology, and wellness/preventative medicine, Professor Hruska hopes to bridge her extensive and varied medical experience with her keen interest in academics and teaching to help develop academically and clinically exceptional future physician assistants.
