How do I change a vacant position?
To make changes to a vacant or inactive position, email your EAST HR Team with the position number, effective date and changes you wish to make to the position. You will be notified when the change has been made.
How do I inactivate and disencumber a position?
To inactivate and disencumber a position, email your EAST Payroll Team with the
position number and effective date. You will be notified when the change has
been made.
How do I reactivate an inactive position?
To reactivate an inactive position, email your EAST HR Team with the position
number, effective date and the funding information. You will be notified when
the change has been made.
How do I request a new position?
To request a new position, submit a MSS Request New Position through Manager
UTMB in HCM. Please remember to include the funding information in the comments,
as well as the EAF # for faculty or A&P positions.

Why doesn't my position number come up when Creating a New
Job Opening?
If you haven't used the correct Job Family your position number will not appear
in the Job Opening. Double check the
job family and try again. If you continue
to have problems, contact your EAST HR Team.
